Rough version of the rear hatch , ripped 1/2" plywood to 1" width then clamped and glued them together to make the ribs, then cut out the shape from one peice for the strength. Framed out the inside of the hatch cover and will cover that with knotty pine. Didn't want the whole hatch in one peice it would have been awkward to open and stand under. Will make the bottom half to open like a tail gate and drop down . Here hatch is temperly fastened to see how it fits . Will fasten hatch with a piano hinge when readyOther picture I started to crack fill all the little nicks and crannys so as to sand everything smooth and get it ready for stain . Starting to take shape .
